In the period we live in, without digital transformation, it will not be possible to develop. Continuous developments require that businesses, companies, institutions, and organizations be open to innovation, as well as concepts and complex systems that are added every day. One of these innovations is Non-Fungible Tokens ("NFT").
NFTs are cryptographic assets on a blockchain with unique identification codes and metadata that set them apart. Unlike cryptocurrencies, the equivalent cannot be traded or exchanged. Thus, it differs from exchangeable tokens such as cryptocurrencies, which are identical to each other and therefore can be used as a medium for commercial transactions.
After DenizBank, Istanbul Arbitration Center ("ISTAC") has taken a step towards digital transformation in the field of law in terms of NFTs, which are popular and increasingly sought after in the fashion and cosmetics sectors, especially in the arts.
ISTAC announced that NFT certificates will be awarded to those who attend all of the Digital Transformation and Law Panel, which consists of three seminars, the first of which will be held on March 10, 2022. In addition to organizing panels, seminars, and conferences on different subjects, ISTAC became the first arbitration center in Turkey to publish online hearing procedures and principles. In addition to its rapid adaptation to pandemic conditions, ISTAC once again proved its innovative leadership by signing a first in the field of law and issuing NFT certificates.
